Neither IMHO. Fly fishing is just another form of angling, every1 has their likes and dislikes. Sometimes a hard lure will out perform a fly and sometimes the other way around. The big difference is the casting styles and tackle.

The river is pretty much divided between cold water trout fishery above hayward then warmwater below not to say there are no.
The lower sections but its more smallmouth habitat.

The 16 caught many browns but that is bigger than the 16 caught its at least 17 inches also beefier not spawned out fish like mine was.

Nice little trout. “One that does not know how to fish, should not embarass a fish by catching it” Norman MacLean Casting pretty good. Please. 20 inches. Nice fishermans ruler. I was thinking 13 or 14 at best.
